Nirmal Bal Vikas Sanstha is a Orphan Organization that was started in Chakan, Pune. NBVS was established in the year 2004 with just 8 childrens by founder Late. Nirmala Sawant. NBVS was started with a very humble purpose to give a new identity to the orphan & destitute to grow under community. We at Happy Home want to realize the full potential of our children. We want to ensure that they will be able to reintegrate their community as healthy, happy, responsible and independent adults. To enable them and give all rounded supportive services, so as to be effective and useful citizens of the country. In the heart of every child is a hunger for home. Not just for food and a place to sleep, but for safety and community. Most importantly: for love. It’s not always easy, it comes with a long list of challenges to overcome… but we are doing it! Lives are being changed and stories rewritten. We are excited to have you along for the ride.
Nirmal Child Development Foundation :
Nirmala Sawant stayed away from her family for 25 years and started living her life while working at an orphanage in 1988. In the year 2000, due to a vertebral operation, it was no longer possible for her to continue working at the orphanage. However, as she had been working there for 14 to 15 years, she continued serving the children and took care of them for a few more years.
At the orphanage, children were released once they turned 18 years old, but she never considered her work there as just a job. Overcoming her illness and driven by her own willpower, she started an orphanage at Pimpri Budruk, which is 9 km from Chakan and 10 km from Rajgurunagar. In this orphanage, she initially cared for eight children who were either orphans or lost.
As this small village was far from the city, in the year 2004, it was difficult to obtain proper food, water, clothes, and other essential items. Despite these hardships, she never gave up. Due to her vertebral condition, doctors told her that she could not live without a belt around her neck and a stick in her hand for support. Yet, she was always ready to take care of the children, never thinking about herself, even for a moment.
The children started growing day by day, and during this time, she never thought about any legal matters because she was doing everything with her whole heart. Late Ghanashyam Shinde (Dada) provided immense support in this work. Together, they worked tirelessly to care for the foundation. However, in the year 2012, Nirmala passed away suddenly, followed shortly by Mr. Ghanashyam Shinde (Dada).
In our orphanage all of these type of children are helped and all types of facilities are made available for them but for this work the monthly expenditure is given by some kind hearted people like weekly
grosser (vegetables) expenditure is provided by some Doctor’s group from Rajgurunager.Mr.Atul Bhondve privide a cow for milk.. In 2018, Skoda and Volkswagen Chairman Stephen Walden, along with his colleagues, supported the organization for five years and contributed significantly to its growth before it was transferred to China. During this time, they also built a hall for the organization with the cooperation of Dnyaneshwar Ravane and Prasad Dukre.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization faced severe challenges. In these difficult times, Geeta Tai's brother, Prasad Dukre, provided tremendous support and continues to assist from time to time. Similarly, Netaji Gade has also been offering frequent guidance.
For the past three to four years, the Utkarsh Group has been organizing free fort visits for children. Thanks to this initiative, they have had the opportunity to explore historic forts such as Koraya Gad, Pratapgad, Shivneri Gad, and Raigad without any cost.
Additionally, for the past ten years, children have been celebrating Diwali in a unique and creative way by painting pantya (traditional oil lamps) and making sky lanterns, adding a personal and artistic touch to the festival.
The expenditure for the Hospital in case of
common diseases is provided by Dr. Gaikwad, Dr. Khadke, Mrs.gunjal madam, and Mr. Ganesh Udas , Mr. Madhusudan Belsaware and SmileSpeders support for education. But all these help not enough. The NBVS orphanage has its
other expenses like gas cylinder, electricity bill, petrol, employee payments, school fees and other
maintenance etc… Looking to all these works the help from everyone is must.

My self-Miss Geeta Sawant. I have completed my B.A. degree and did a Diploma in Animation Multimedia. I spend my childhood in orphanage named as Anter Bharati Balgram. The lady who adopted me as a daughter that is my mother Late. Mrs. Nirmala Sawant established this orphanage (Nirmal Bal Vikas Santha) in the year 2004 at Thakur Pimpari (Budruk). She passed away due to serious illness in 2012.
After her death, that was no one to come forward and take the responsibility of the orphanage. My mother adopted me so I knew what the orphan is, as my childhood passed in other orphanage so I knew very well the difficulties of the children living there then I decided to take this responsibility of the orphanage.
With this mission (responsibility) of the orphanage I left my good govt. job & start work for my late mother’s orphanage name is NIrmal Bal Vikas Sanstha. At a very small age, this huge responsibility had to be taken by me. But fortunately knowing the ups and downs of the orphanage it was very easy for me to handle it and for about 3 years I am successfully, lovingly and carrying out my duty and all my children’s in the orphanage are very happily living. And I too find this social work very good to do.
